Charley’s Wing Chun

Welcome to our webpage, I open up the school in Stockton, Ca. in 1986. We belong to the Chinese combat union, certified school in wing Chun or Young Chaun Quan.

We do not carry belts at our school so there are no belt fees. You receive certificates of levels earned by training not by paying. This way it’s more rewarding, because you trained hard to earn them, however there is no pressure you train at your own pace.

Sigong Charley Hart

My background training is in Hung Gur, Chen Style Tai Chi and Wing Chun. I am 68 years old been training for 54 years, and teaching for about 40 years. We practice family style (All together as a family).

Brief History

A Shaolin Buddhist Monk named Yen Chen brought an art of Kung Fu with him called Shaolin Fast Hands to a Buddhist Temple in Singapore called Thian Hock Keng. Located in front of the Thian Hock Keng Temple there was another temple called the Fuk Ta Chi Temple, and a Taoist Priest from this temple called Lok Bo Cho would go to the Thian Hock Keng Temple and listen to the Buddhist Monks preach. Lok Bo Cho met Yen Chen there and became interested in his art of Kung Fu and soon began studying with him. Today Shaolin Fast Hands is called Wing Chun Kung Fu. Shaolin Wing Chun Kung Fu was brought to Fushan China by Yim Chum, a Shaolin Buddhist Monk.
